1. Mark interesting passages.

3. Take notes as you read (dog-ear, write in margin, write on bookmark)
4. Email 3-5 questions to George ahead of time for compiling.
5. On blog, post observations, questions, thoughts, opinions.

I find it helpful in generating discussion material to have Swahili war songs playing loudly as background music while I read... Thanks for your helpful suggestions as well, John. People may want to supplement my method with some of yours.
lol... your loin cloth must be getting good use already, Brian. Maybe you need to pass some out to these other slackers who haven't cracked the book yet.
